
so I attended the first day of Asia Fashion Summit 2012 yesterday. It was pretty rewarding actually. The speakers were mostly inspiring and they know their stuff well. Also they share ideas and knowledge that are required in the industry.
I find Christopher Burch really dynamic and interesting. I love his personality. He talks about how creating a mind blowing experience for his customer, who he calls ‘my girl’
And Arnault, really interesting point of view. He said there are too many boring stalls. So true. Lots of things are repetitive. And to standout one must truly be unique.
Also other points taken were that do not bring in designs based on what you like, your business will not survive. The product, yes it has to be different, but yet sellable to a certain extent.
And one said about changing rooms are important because that’s where we are vulnerable. How many times have you been to a changing room that has a gap between the curtains. Lol, food for thought!
One more thing, always always listen to your customers.
